Job Description

A Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a key role in driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and fostering partnerships. The job profile typically includes the following responsibilities, skills, and qualifications:

  1. Key Responsibilities:Identifying New Business Opportunities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients or markets.
  • Identify new sales leads and business partnerships.

  • Create and implement strategic plans for business expansion.
  • Drive revenue growth through new and existing client relationships.
  1. Sales and Marketing:

  • Suggest actionable insights based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Required Skills: Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact with clients, negotiate deals, and present solutions effectively.
  • Sales Expertise: Experience in sales strategies, pipeline management, and client acquisition.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop business strategies and assess market potential.
  • Networking: Proficiency in building relationships with stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to address client challenges with tailored solutions.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating deals that benefit the company and the client.
  • Educational Qualifications:Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:Typically, 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Experience in a specific industry can be valuable (e.g., technology, healthcare, finance, etc.).
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Sales Revenue: Amount of revenue generated through new business.
  • New Clients Acquired: Number of new clients or accounts brought on board.
  • Client Retention Rate: Success in maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
  • Lead Generation: Number of leads generated and converted into business.
  • Market Share Growth: Increase in market share within a particular industry or region.
