About Role:

The Electrical & Illumination Design Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of electrical power distribution, lighting (illumination), earthing, and lightning protection systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role includes preparing detailed engineering drawings, calculations, BOQs, technical specifications, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects in compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design LV electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable routing, cable schedules, and panel schedules.
• Design indoor and outdoor illumination systems, including lighting layouts and lux level calculations using software such as DIALux.
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems in accordance with relevant standards.
• Prepare electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing, and short-circuit calculations.
• Develop technical specifications, material requisitions, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and architectural disciplines to ensure integrated design.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, NEC, NBC, and project-specific standards.
• Provide engineering support during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions.
