Gym Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Gym Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving membership growth, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a high-energy, results-driven gym environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations ManagementOversee day-to-day gym operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and equipment standards across the facility
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Sales & Membership GrowthDrive new memberships through marketing initiatives and walk-in conversions
• Monitor sales targets and implement strategies to achieve revenue goals
• Handle membership inquiries, pricing discussions, and closing sales
• Team ManagementRecruit, train, and supervise gym staff (trainers, receptionists, support staff)
• Schedule staff shifts and ensure optimal coverage
• Motivate the team to deliver excellent service and achieve targets
• Customer ExperienceEnsure a positive and engaging experience for all members
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
• Build strong relationships with members to improve retention
• Financial & ReportingTrack revenue, expenses, and profitability
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports
• Manage budgets and control operational costs

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Gym Manager, Fitness Manager, or similar role
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Leadership and team management experience
• Good understanding of fitness industry trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask
• Basic knowledge of MS Office or gym management software
• Preferred QualificationsCertification in fitness training or sports management
• Experience in membership sales or fitness consulting
• First Aid/CPR certification (a plus)
