Junior Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our financial department. The successful candidate will handle daily accounting entries, ensure statutory compliance, and manage essential banking and trade documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Accounting & Reporting

Voucher Management: Execute and supervise the daily entry of purchase, sales, and expense vouchers into accounting programmes with high accuracy.

Financial Reporting: Generate periodic MIS reports and outstanding statements to provide management with visibility into the company’s financial health.

Receivables Management: Proactively follow up with customers for timely payment collection to maintain healthy cash flow.

2. Statutory Compliance

Tax Coordination: Prepare and organize data for the timely filing of GST, TDS, income tax, and professional tax returns.

Liaison: Coordinate directly with the company’s appointed Chartered Accountants (CA) to ensure all filings adhere to current legal frameworks and deadlines.

3. Banking & Trade Operations

Banking Correspondence: Manage day-to-day banking activities, including the preparation of Bank Guarantee (BG) applications.

Import/Export Documentation: Handle import payment applications and ensure the timely submission of Bills of Entry (BoE) and other related regulatory documents.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with accounting software and Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office.

Software Familiarity: Basic knowledge of MProfit and Spectrum software is a significant plus; however, candidates must be proactive and open to learning the platform as part of their workflow.

Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS) and banking procedures.

Attributes: High level of integrity, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet strict compliance deadlines.
