Job Description

The Associate Vice President – Sales (AVPS) is a leadership role responsible for driving regional business growth through franchise expansion, revenue generation, and team performance management. This position requires a strategic and hands-on professional who can lead sales operations, build strong market presence, and consistently achieve business targets.

The primary focus of the role is to expand the franchise network by identifying and onboarding new partners, while also ensuring strong performance from existing franchises. The AVPS will be accountable for both primary and secondary sales, working closely with field teams to drive revenue growth, improve market penetration, and enhance overall business performance. The role also involves monitoring competitor activities and implementing effective sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

A key aspect of this position is team leadership. The AVPS will manage and develop a team comprising Area Sales Heads (ASH), Franchise Relationship Managers (FRM), and Field Development Managers (FDM). Responsibilities include recruitment, training, performance monitoring, and coaching to ensure high productivity and alignment with organizational goals. Regular field visits, performance reviews, and structured feedback mechanisms are critical to success in this role.

Relationship management is another core responsibility. The AVPS will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with franchise partners, ensuring their satisfaction, business growth, and long-term engagement. The role also requires interaction with external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, distributors, and regulatory authorities to strengthen the company’s presence in the region.

The position demands strong financial discipline, particularly in managing collections and controlling credit risk. Ensuring timely payments from franchise partners, monitoring receivables, and coordinating with internal teams for reconciliation are essential components of the role.

Additionally, the AVPS will support and execute marketing and promotional initiatives, including regional campaigns, product launches, and local marketing activities to drive brand visibility and sales. The role also involves identifying new market opportunities, expanding customer networks, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Candidates should have prior experience in sales leadership roles such as Regional Sales Manager or equivalent, with exposure to industries like insurance, FMCG, retail, cement, or distribution-driven businesses. A strong understanding of franchise or channel sales models is highly preferred.
