Job Summary
A security guard monitors premises and personnel to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations. They ensure safety by patrolling areas, controlling access, and responding to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol buildings and outdoor areas to detect suspicious activity
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Control access to restricted areas by checking IDs and credentials
- Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical situations, or security breaches
- Write detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Enforce company rules, regulations, and safety procedures
- Assist visitors and employees with security-related concerns
