Senior Tax & Audit Associate

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Associate with a strong technical background to lead our professional team. This is a leadership role designed for a seasoned professional who can oversee complex tax and audit assignments while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of Direct and Indirect Tax assignments and Audit finalizations. Beyond technical supervision, we need a "firefighter"—a proactive problem-solver who can navigate high-pressure situations, resolve technical bottlenecks, and manage urgent client requirements with composure.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Oversight: Review and finalize Direct Tax (Income Tax, Tax Audits) and Indirect Tax (GST reconciliations, ITC, and filings) assignments.
• Audit Leadership: Supervise statutory and tax audits from planning to finalization.
• Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex technical issues or emergency filing situations.
• Workflow Management: Manage team allocations to ensure 100% compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Client Advisory: Handle high-level client queries and provide strategic tax insights.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or semi qualified CA or senior professional with 5+ years of experience in professional practice.
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership/managerial role within a CA firm.
• Expertise in the GST framework, Income Tax provisions, and Audit standards.
• "Firefighting" Skillset: Exceptional ability to work under pressure and resolve urgent regulatory challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and tax filing portals.
