Job Description – Textile Designer (Home Furnishings)

We are looking for a creative and experienced Textile Designer specializing in Home Furnishings who possesses strong conceptual and execution capabilities in luxury and modern interior soft furnishing designs.

The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of textile design concepts, fabric coordination, mood board creation, and visualization development for premium home furnishing products.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and conceptualizing home furnishing products including:

⦁ Curtains

⦁ Sheer Curtains

⦁ Bed Covers

⦁ Headboards

⦁ Sofa Upholstery Concepts

⦁ Cushion & Soft Furnishing Elements

Creating innovative and aesthetically appealing design concepts using:

⦁ Coral Draw

⦁ Adobe Photoshop

⦁ Design Mood Boards

⦁ Visual Presentation Concepts

Developing mood boards with proper color palettes, fabric coordination, textures, themes, and material combinations.

Understanding and implementing various textile techniques such as:

⦁ Quilting

⦁ Thread Work

⦁ Printing

⦁ Smocking

⦁ Fabric Layering & Surface Development

Coordinating and selecting suitable:

⦁ Sofa Fabrics

⦁ Curtain Fabrics

⦁ Sheer Fabrics

⦁ Upholstery Materials

⦁ Soft Furnishing Materials

Preparing design visuals and presentation concepts for execution and production purposes.

Coordinating with vendors, karigars, production teams, and suppliers for execution of conceptual designs into final products.

Staying updated with current market trends, luxury furnishing concepts, textures, materials, and international design aesthetics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

⦁ Proven experience in Textile Designing with specialization in Home Furnishings.

⦁ Candidate from Home Furnishing / Interior Textile / Luxury Furnishing background preferred.

⦁ Strong knowledge of Coral Draw and Adobe Photoshop.

⦁ Excellent sense of color coordination, textures, patterns, and material combinations.

⦁ Strong visualization and conceptualization abilities.

⦁ Good understanding of fabric techniques and furnishing materials.

⦁ Ability to manage multiple design concepts and execute them practically.

⦁ Strong vendor coordination and execution management skills.

⦁ Creative, detail-oriented, and aesthetically driven mindset.
