Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY Finance & Insurance Specialist position is responsible to plan and coordinate all Finance and Insurance related activities at the Harley-Davidson dealer. The core objective for this position is to work seamlessly with the dealer/ dealer employees on a day to day basis, while ensuring achievement of overall H-D objectives. The job responsibility requires the successful candidate to be working out of the dealer shop floor on a day-to-day basis. This position reports to the Finance and Insurance consultant. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Protection of employees, customers and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at HDFS. All employees must follow established physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, use of passwords, and access to information based solely on business need. In addition, any company-proprietary information (including but not limited to customer information) may not be transferred or transported outside of HDFS by employees upon leaving the company. It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Interacting with potential customers at the H-D dealer shop floor enabling sale of H-D Motorcycles through suitable finance options. This may require ascertaining the profile of a potential purchaser. Utilizing this information to offer specific financial products that suit their requirement/profile. Completing loan application process at the dealer shop floor or otherwise. This may include connecting with customers outside the dealer shop floor to obtain additional information and necessary documentation for loan disbursal. Ensuring high throughput of applications to loans approved. Ensuring high throughput of loans approved to motorcycle sales. Working with dealer Sales Consultants to promote upsell and cross sell of various products through use of various financial products. Assisting the sale of Insurance, Warranty and other protection products along with H-D Motorcycles. Working with the H-D Central operations and local offices of partner financial institutions to ensure robust processes, high approval rates and adherence to agreed turn-around time. Maintaining relevant MIS for various business activities. Be available as a F&I subject matter expert on operational matters at the dealer shop floor Actively participate in various promotional events conducted by H-D or the dealer, providing relevant financial products at POS. Participate in generating sales through various campaigns launched by H-D and /or partner financial institutions. Drive improvement and change through Identification and communication of business aspects that can be improved upon. JOB REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE Applicant should at least be a graduate or should be currently pursuing graduation. Must be fluent in English and the local language. Both verbal and written. Applicant should have minimum 2 years of work experience involving direct B2B or B2C sales where the applicant was involved in dealing with customers. Applicant should have an understanding about working of the Financial Loan products and loan amortization. Applicant should be able to work with high degree of autonomy. Strong comprehension of customer choices and profile. Application of these to provide H-D prospective customer effective F&I solutions. Motivated and enthusiastic to develop the Harley-Davidson brand. Possesses a valid Driver’s license. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook is desired.
