Job Description

🧾 Core Duties

  • Handle customer transactions (cash, card, digital payments) accurately
  • Scan goods and ensure correct pricing
  • Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers

👥 Customer Service

  • Greet customers politely and assist with inquiries
  • Resolve basic complaints or direct them to the appropriate staff
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude

💰 Cash Handling

  • Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Ensure cash balances correctly
  • Detect counterfeit currency or payment issues

🛒 Sales & Store Support

  • Promote store offers, discounts, or loyalty programs
  • Bag items properly and efficiently
  • Assist in restocking shelves or organizing displays if needed

🧹 Maintenance & Organization

  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized
  • Ensure equipment (POS system, barcode scanner) is functioning properly

🔐 Compliance & Accuracy

  • Follow company policies and billing procedures
  • Maintain transaction records accurately
  • Adhere to security and safety guidelines
