Logistics Operations Head

We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations & Traffic Executive with a strong background in FTL (Full Truck Load) logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor development, market vehicle hiring, fleet coordination, and ensuring timely vehicle placement as per customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a strong network of transport vendors.
• Hire market vehicles for FTL operations.
• Source and arrange open-body trucks (9 MT, 16 MT & 21 MT) and 32 FT container vehicles.
• Develop new transport vendors to strengthen fleet availability.
• Ensure timely placement of trucks according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with transporters, vendors, and customers for smooth operations.
• Negotiate freight rates and maintain cost-effective transportation.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Resolve operational issues and provide timely updates to customers.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in transport operations, traffic management, or FTL logistics.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle hiring and vendor development.
• Good knowledge of open-body trucks (9 MT, 16 MT & 25 MT) and 32 FT container vehicles.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple vehicle requirements and work under pressure.
• Good knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of transport management software is an advantage.
