Agility Lead - Agile Program Manager, Scrum Master

As an Agility Lead in Asset and Wealth Management, you will play a significant role as a champion for the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices within our teams. Leveraging your deep knowledge of product development methodologies and Agile principles, use your expert guidance, mentorship, and support to teams to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. As a recognized subject matter expert, put your knowledge to use to work on complex issues, exercise considerable judgment, and make impactful decisions that shape the operational and business direction of your sub-function. Your leadership, communication, and coaching skills will be instrumental in empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and effectively, while continuously adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with the Program Lead to help formulate and document compelling fact-based strategic recommendations which successfully engage stakeholders.
- Participate in problem identification sessions, to help capture and document problems, major issues and actionable opportunities.
- Partner with the Program Lead, and internal and x-LOB partners to provide the analysis to help formulate key decisions and major change initiatives.
- Develops strong executive, peer and stakeholder relationships, maintaining effective communication channels; partners across functions to support leadership and motivates teams to take action and drive programs to completion.
- Promotes thought leadership for new ideas and new ways of executing product/operational initiatives (through effective Agile and project/program management best practices).
- Partner with Operations teams as they implement recommendations.
Identify potential roadblocks / obstacles and escalate issues as needed.
- Builds scales, and maintains programs that drive strategic priorities from ideation to implementation, through strong program management principles, hands-on leadership and effective change management.
- Manages timelines and provides visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through proactive status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties).
- Drives identification and management of "program/feature" dependencies and program/delivery risks across multiple teams and stakeholders; manage obstacles and risks that slow down or prevent teams from delivering on project goals.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
- Strong program and process management skills. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA, ability to run AGILE ceremonies including refinement, grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Hands on experience in Use Case Modelling, ER diagrams, case diagrams, data flow diagrams.
- Innovative, forward thinker with appreciation of control and regulatory considerations.
- Ability to collate relevant facts/data, analyze and coherently articulate the challenge, potential solutions and recommended solution.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prepare the appropriate level of analysis which will be used to develop and present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way; able manipulate data leveraging a suite of analytical tools.
- Vision, creativity, presence, and credibility. A collaborative and flexible style. Ability to interact at multiple levels effectively with Operations, Technology and Business sponsors.
- Ability to drive and collaborate in solutioning complex problems (e.g., effectively framing problem statement, identifying/sharing relevant information, clarifying options, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple initiatives in a fast paced environment.
