Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Project Procurement Manager, reporting directly to HOD – Procurement to join our Procurement team based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

 We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below. 

  • To manage and coordinate all activities of Project Procurement by providing leadership, expertise and direction to Buyers of the assigned epc / EPCm Project
  • To ensure the level of competencies and capabilities (tools, procedures, organization, and resources) of the Buyers.
  • To define the methodology of procurement specifically for Procurement activities
  • Participate in Project Reviews to plan, forecast and control procurement of  goods/services
  • Ensures that the Project policies, procedures, and schedules are aligned to the Procurement Department activities
  • Participates in Negotiations wherever required as per type of project for the goods/materials/services

in line with the procedures 

  • Supervises and harmonizes the activities of the Expediter, Coordinator, Shipping Coordinator and all buyers working on the Project
  • Defines with the Procurement Department Manager the policy to be followed for spare parts procurement and the conditions under which vendors will provide field supervision
  • Manages the Procurement team assigned on to the Project Task Force
  • Makes sure that Buyers selects Vendors in accordance with the Project Vendor List
  • Follows all the phases related to the call for bids
  • Recommends a payment policy with the aim of avoiding a negative cash-flow balance
  • May manage one Project Procurement Coordinator, for larger projects
  • Performs, coordinates and oversees all Procurement activities for the project, Assigns and supervises Buyers/Managers etc.

  • Team management & Leadership skills.
  • Skills in driving and leading problems to a resolution and must demonstrate ability to develop, improve and implement project procedures.
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural and diversified teams 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

BE/B.Tech with 18 to 22 years of experience of LSTK / EPCM Projects of Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals.
