Job Description for AVP/ DVP – Internal Communications

 

You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Internal and Executive communications within the organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure effective communication execution to foster engagement, alignment, and a sense of belonging among employees at all levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support to develop and implement comprehensive Executive & Internal communication strategies aligned with the company's objectives and values.

Collaborate with agencies, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team’s collective success.

Create compelling content, including written, visual, and multimedia materials, to effectively communicate key messages, initiatives, and updates to employees.

Enhance channels and platforms for internal communication, including intranet, newsletters, town hall meetings, and other digital and traditional mediums.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication efforts, gathering feedback and data to continuously improve strategies and tactics.

Collaborate closely with HR, Corporate communications, Marketing and other departments to align communication efforts and ensure consistency in messaging across the organization 

Champion a culture of transparency, open communication, and employee engagement throughout the organization.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to internal communication, and integrate relevant insights into strategies and initiatives.

 

Reporting Structure : to the Head of Internal and Executive Communications 

 

CTC Range : Rs 20 – 30 l.p.a

 

Suggested Grade : M5 – M6 (AVP or entry DVP)

 

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in Internal communications, with a minimum of 6-8 years in a mid-management role

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing agency teams.

Exceptional interpersonal, event management skills, and good knowledge of IT systems with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities and situations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including intranet software, email marketing software, and social media platforms.
