Rubrik is seeking a Cyber Resilience Architect (Field CTO) to drive technical strategy and business leadership across the APJ region.
In this role you will act as a transformation architect operating at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. You will help large enterprises modernize their approach to Data Protection, Cyber Recovery, Identity Resilience, and AI-driven security and governance.
You are accountable for influencing regional revenue outcomes by leading high-impact discovery, shaping differentiated architectures, and guiding strategic account execution. You will evangelize and architect Rubrik’s portfolio across on-prem, cloud, SaaS, identity, cyber resilience, and AI solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CISOs, and Board. Partner with CIOs on modern data protection, operational efficiency, and cloud strategy. Partner with CISOs on cyber resilience, identity protection, and breach recovery readiness. At the executive level, position data resilience as a board-level priority — aligning Rubrik’s platform to measurable outcomes such as operational continuity, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and AI readiness.
- Revenue Acceleration: Partner with regional leadership to hit revenue goals by leading high-impact technical discoveries and architecting innovative solutions for Tier-1 accounts.
- Deal Orchestration: Master the MEDDIC framework to qualify opportunities, identifying technical "champions" and neutralizing competitive threats through superior architecture.
- Product Liaison: Distill complex field requirements into actionable insights for the Product Management team, ensuring the APJ voice influences our global roadmap.
- Technical Leadership: Design integrated solutions across On-Prem, SaaS, Identity, and Multi-Cloud environments, with a specific focus on Cyber Security including designing isolated recovery environments (IRE) and clean room recovery.
- Market Evangelism: Represent Rubrik at select industry events and executive forums. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and support key marketing engagements as needed. This is an important but limited portion of the role, with primary focus remaining on strategic account execution and revenue impact.
About you
- 18+ years in Sales Engineering or Technical Consulting, with consistent success in winning 7-figure enterprise deals across APJ
- Strong executive presence with experience engaging CIO, CISO, and Board-level stakeholders
- You have deep roots in data protection, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity (zero-trust, isolated recovery environments, cyber recovery).
- Commercially astute — able to connect technical strategy to financial and operational impact
- Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude
- Strives in moving in a fast-paced environment; including handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up.
- Strong understanding of APJ market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and cultural nuances
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
