Deputy Manager - Communications
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
To support and execute strategic public relations plans that enhance brand image, manage media relations, and foster positive stakeholder engagement. And support with PR initiatives that effectively communicate the company's message, manage crisis communications, and build strong relationships with key media outlets and the public.
Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Media Relations: Cultivating and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the automotive industry to secure positive coverage for the company and its products.
- Content Management: Focus on creating content in line with Organisational needs, research and creation for all PR material – press releases, quotes, authored articles, blogs, pitch notes, tweets etc. Also supporting IO team with the content for the various launches and activations.
- Industry Monitoring: Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform PR strategies and messaging.
Crisis Management: Coordination with ORM team and relevant stakeholders to analysis, and help with activation for Crisis management
Product & Brand Focused:
- Brand Management: Working closely with marketing teams (Responsible Brands) to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all communications channels.
- Measurement and Reporting: Compile, review and communicate monthly/quarterly qualitative and quantitative reports on performance, driving actionable insights for future efforts; communicate best practices and share lessons learned throughout the organization
- Effective Product Utilisation: Ensuring strong utilisation of Mahindra product for constant story by Media – Reviews, Comparisons & Other Strategic Contents (Partnerships with Auto Influencers)
- Competition Reporting: Closely looking out for competition launches, sharing media analysis with management & relevant teams for required actions
- Internal Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams and collaborate to develop an annual content calendar and communication campaigns / initiatives
Education Qualification
- Master’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Engineering or Management or related field.
- Management degree in communications or Marketing
