The Role

As a Manager, Commercial Finance with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc. 

• Standardization of Processes: 
  • Standardize the green team pack and proposal templates to ensure consistency in how opportunities are reviewed and presented.
• Collaboration and Guidance: 
  • Provide guidance and support to teams during reviews (light green and green team) for key opportunities, sharing best practices and lessons learned, and being available for strategic input as needed. 
    Examples of topics to focus on:
    • Risk management (using a consistent/fact-based approach).
    • Tax efficient proposal.
    • Mobility requirements / restrictions.
    • Commercial model – SWOT.
    • T&Cs and deviations: liquidated damages, limited liability, payment terms.
    • Alternative delivery methods with an impact on cost (use of Consulting India / Colombia, workshare, phased delivery, options/value-enhanced options).
• Reviews: key opportunities
  • Help prepare the light green team review.
  • Help prepare the green team review.
  • Handover to project execution team (when applicable).
• Pricing:
  • Drive consistent contingency approach between groups / location when collaborating on the same opportunity (GID, contingency, effort vs. WBS, cash flow).
  • Compare current tender with win-loss track record
  • Capture additional information (use CSP as the main repository whenever possible).
  • Focus on GM
  • GID/Consulting India/Columbia utilization.
• Quotation tool support:
  • Burden cost upload (if not automated) / ensure that the costs have been updated automatically.
  • Define and share best practices.
  • Regional support for the tool.
• Standard price list: 
  • Defines price list by location.
  • Analyzing profitability of roles in past projects.
  • Agreeing of target (e.g., P50 / P60 / P70).
  • Calculate pricelist figures for the region.
  • Upload in the quotation tool (e.g., EBIT tool, Quote Tool, etc.)
• Leverage AI:
  •  to improve commercial excellence across the organization.
  • Define new utilization of Copilot in Worley Consulting (prompt definition,).
  • Promote the utilization in the Region.
  • Develop context documents, populate knowledge base files or identify new source data.
• Checklist Development: 
  • Propose checklists improvements for bidding.

Scope

• Focus on identifying and prioritizing key opportunities, especially those above a certain value threshold (e.g., 1M+),
• Consider strategic smaller projects where commercial input is valuable.
• High Priority opportunities to be agreed with Senior Director for Business Development for the region

Deliverables

• Deal pricing model + sensitivity scenarios.
• Win/loss database updates + competitor notes.
• Updated rate cards/price list inputs for tools.

About You 

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Cost and Works, Accountant, MBA, MSc, Engineering degree, Bachelor in Commerce.
• 5-10 years experience.
• Exposure to:
  • Costing or pricing models.
  • Bid process or proposal teams.
  • Offshore delivery cost structures.

Core Capabilities

• Strong analytical skills:
  • Excel-based pricing models.
  • Scenario modelling (sensitivity, margin impact).
• Understanding of delivery cost structures: 
  • Onshore vs offshore cost layering.
  • Role-based costing.
• Commercial rigor: 
  • ability to track assumptions:
  • Scope inclusion/exclusion.
  • Margin risks.
  • Pricing drivers.
• Process & tooling discipline:
  • Comfortable with structured templates and tools.
  • Data quality mindset.
