Role – Manager / Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition
Role context
As part of Morningstar’s ongoing global Talent Acquisition transformation, this role will play a pivotal role in strengthening recruiting delivery while embedding consistent, scalable ways of working aligned to the global TA operating model. This role will lead a team of specialist recruiters and act as a bridge between business stakeholders, India TA team, and global TA leadership. The focus will be on delivery excellence today, while modernizing how recruiting is done through technology, data, and AI to support Morningstar’s long-term growth.
Key responsibilities
Recruiting delivery
o Own end-to-end recruiting delivery for assigned business portfolios, ensuring outcomes aligned to global TA standards on quality, speed, experience, and cost.
o Translate Morningstar’s global TA strategy and operating model into clear, executable ways of working for the local recruiting team.
o Drive disciplined demand planning, intake, and prioritisation in partnership with business and HR leaders.
o Ensure consistent use of global processes, tools, and governance frameworks across all hiring activity.
People leadership & Capability building
o Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–6 specialist recruiters, building strong delivery capability and future-ready skills.
o Set clear performance expectations aligned to global TA metrics and outcomes.
o Build capability across sourcing, stakeholder advisory, market intelligence, and technology adoption.
o Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across regions.
Stakeholder partnership & experience
o Act as a trusted advisor to senior hiring managers, providing insights on talent markets, hiring feasibility, and trade-offs.
o Elevate stakeholder experience through structured communication, transparency, and predictable delivery.
o Serve as the primary escalation point for complex, high-impact, or sensitive hiring situations.
o Reinforce a candidate-first mindset aligned to Morningstar’s employer brand and values.
Process, Technology & AI Enablement
o Identify and drive opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency and quality through automation, AI, and data-led decision-making.
o Leverage dashboards and recruiting analytics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
o Champion adoption of new tools and ways of working within the recruiting team.
Collaboration & Governance
o Work closely with India and global TA leaders to ensure alignment, consistency, and knowledge sharing.
o Contribute to global TA initiatives such as campus hiring, DEI hiring, employer branding, and workforce planning.
o Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Workday and seamless handoffs from recruiting to onboarding.
o Support audits, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement reviews.
Requirements
o 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with hands on experience in strengthening delivery.
o Proven track record of leading recruiting teams and delivering results at scale.
o Deep understanding of recruiting operating models, delivery metrics, and governance.
o Experience leveraging technology and AI to improve recruiting outcomes.
o Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
o Ability to balance strategic intent with hands-on execution.
o High level of judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
o Passion for building modern, scalable Talent Acquisition organisations.
Role Justification
This role is critical to the success of Morningstar’s Talent Acquisition transformation. As the organization evolves toward a globally aligned, technology-enabled TA model, this role will ensure that strategy translates into consistent delivery, strong recruiter capability, and an elevated experience for both stakeholders and candidates. The role strengthens leadership depth within TA while enabling scale, resilience, and future readiness.
