General Position Requirements / Scope

We are looking for an experienced Campaign Operations Analyst to join our Lifecycle Marketing team. You bring 3–5 years of hands-on campaign execution experience and are equally comfortable configuring journeys in Adobe Journey Optimizer as you are writing SQL to validate the data underneath them. You operate independently, take full ownership of your campaigns from build through deployment, and hold yourself to a high bar for data accuracy and operational quality. This is a technical, execution-focused role on a team that moves fast and values precision. 

 

Campaign Build & Execution

  • Independently own the full lifecycle of multi-channel campaign builds in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) — including journey design, message authoring, audience assignment, suppression logic, scheduling, and deployment across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels.
  • Configure and manage audience segments in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) using the segment builder, applying complex behavioral, event-based, demographic, and product-usage criteria to meet campaign targeting requirements.
  • Execute rigorous pre-send QA covering content accuracy, link validation, dynamic personalization, audience sizing, suppression integrity, frequency cap compliance, and regulatory opt-out checks.
  • Manage a concurrent portfolio of campaigns across multiple marketing programs, consistently meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Monitor live journeys and scheduled sends for performance and execution health, identifying and resolving issues in real time.
  • Collaborate with Marketing strategists and Creative teams to translate campaign briefs into technically precise execution plans, raising data or platform feasibility concerns early.

 

SQL & Data Validation

  • Write proficient, independent SQL against BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent cloud data warehouses to validate audience logic, verify segment membership, confirm suppression accuracy, and size eligibility pools ahead of every campaign.
  • Use SQL to diagnose and resolve data discrepancies — including mismatched counts between AEP segments and source tables, unexpected audience fluctuations, profile attribute gaps, and ingestion anomalies.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable SQL scripts for recurring campaign validation tasks: deduplication checks, holdout group verification, frequency analysis, and eligibility audits.
  • Conduct post-campaign data pulls to support performance reporting, holdout measurement, deliverability analysis, and data reconciliation between AJO send logs and source systems.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to surface upstream data quality issues with query-backed evidence, clearly articulating the business impact on campaign audiences.
  • Validate AEP dataset ingestion completeness and profile attribute accuracy using SQL, flagging pipeline gaps that could affect targeting before they reach production.

Platform Operations & Governance

  • Apply and enforce campaign governance standards across all builds: naming conventions, folder organization, tagging taxonomies, consent and compliance controls, and change management procedures.
  • Monitor AEP data ingestion pipelines and AJO journey execution health, proactively identifying anomalies that could degrade campaign performance or data quality.
  • Contribute to platform configuration work including A/B test setup, template management, suppression list maintenance, and segment catalog hygiene.
  • Assist in evaluating new AJO and AEP platform capabilities, providing operational perspective on feasibility and implementation requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between Marketing, Marketing Technology, and Data Engineering, on campaign operations topics.

 

Required

 

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in campaign operations, marketing technology, or a closely related technical role.
  • Proficient, production-level SQL skills — you independently write complex queries involving JOINs, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and subqueries to solve real data problems without assistance or templates.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) — you have independently built, QA'd, and deployed journeys across multiple channels in a professional environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) — including segment builder, XDM schema structure, profile attributes, dataset management, and identity resolution concepts.
  • Direct experience querying cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks as part of regular campaign operations work.
  • Strong QA instincts and a systematic approach to verifying data accuracy before every send.
  • Ability to manage a concurrent workload of campaigns across multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Clear, confident communicator — able to present data findings, raise platform concerns, and explain technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Deep familiarity with AEP data ops: ADLS ingestion pipelines, AJO journey execution monitoring, segment evaluation jobs, and profile snapshot audits.
  • Experience with additional Adobe Experience Cloud tools such as Adobe Analytics or Adobe Target.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template QA, rendering troubleshooting, and minor template edits.
  • Solid understanding of email deliverability principles and marketing compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with BI or analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with dbt or data modeling concepts as they relate to marketing audience tables.

Experience working in agile environments with sprint-based delivery and ticket-driven workflows.
