The Role
As a Senior Principal Management Consultant with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Customer Engagement & Growth:
- Engages with customers in partnership with Customer Engagement Partners and Sales teams, participating in account planning and market development activities.
- Monitors customer satisfaction and our performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
Technical Leadership & Resource Management:
- Develops detailed knowledge of all sectors and capabilities available within their area.
- Ensures technical resources within their area are utilised in line with agreed expectations and business needs.
Delivery Excellence:
- Manages multiple large, complex, and global assignments or project teams, ensuring quality outcomes and timely delivery.
- Oversees all resourcing aspects of their teams, aligning resources with current and projected customers' needs.
- Strengthens the Consulting Delivery Centre that supports Worley Consulting globally.
- Supports the resolution of complex contractual issues and/or litigations, working closely with legal and commercial teams as required.
- Minimises risks associated with the delivery of work in their area, including gross margin (GM), schedules, and quality assurance. Financial Performance.
- Responsible for the profit and loss of their area, including oversight of sales activities, cash flow management, forecasting, and contract performance.
Strategic Input & Leadership:
- Implements their expected contributions to the broader enterprise and Worley Consulting strategies.
- Works collaboratively with other Partners to ensure alignment of operational and strategic objectives.
- Development and accountability for the strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader enterprise strategy through collaboration with Consulting sector leaders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Strategic:
- Large-scale projects/Projects portfolio performance.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Efficiency improvements in their area.
- Contractual issues or litigations successfully resolved.
- Successful translation of Worley Consulting strategy into their area (strategic goal alignment).
- Employee experience and engagement measured through retention surveys.
- Financial:
- Gross margins & net profit.
- Cost efficiency improvements; % of projects meeting financial and quality targets.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Advanced degree or professional qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., engineering, business, management, or related field).
- Extensive experience in consulting, engineering, commercial management, or related technical environments.
- Proven track record of managing complex, multidisciplinary project teams and assignments across multiple geographies.
- Demonstrated experience in profit and loss management, contract performance, and risk minimisation.
- Strong skills in client engagement, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
- Deep understanding of industry sectors and technical capabilities relevant to their area.
- Strong commercial acumen, including financial management, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Ability to resolve complex contractual and client issues effectively.
- Collaborative, influential, and skilled at working across functions and geographies.
- Commitment to delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
