Role Summary

This role requires an experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) Business Analyst to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of materials management processes. The successful candidate will act as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and IT, leveraging deep expertise in SAP MM. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain execution, ensuring seamless materials management processes to support global operational and financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • System Design & Configuration: Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and enhancement of SAP Procurement, stock transport orders (STO), subcontracting cycles, consignment cycles, inventory management, and physical inventory management processes to meet evolving business and customer requirements.

  • Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve complex system or process issues within materials management.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and execute opportunities for process automation and continuous efficiency gains.

  • Data & Integration Management: Define and manage master data governance, integration touchpoints (PP, FI/CO), and interfaces/EDI/IDoc flows with 3PL warehouses & Vendors ensuring data quality, controls, and compliance.

  • Project Delivery & Change Management: Lead testing phases (unit, integration, UAT), cutover, hypercare, and knowledge transfer; establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training, and change management initiatives to sustain standardized global processes.

Required Qualifications

  • SAP MM Experience: 4+ years of experience implementing and supporting SAP MM, including hands-on configuration of plants, pricing procedures, inventory management, and movement types.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes with the proven ability to translate commercial, supply chain, and financial objectives into effective system designs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: High learning agility with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and requirements elicitation skills; proficient in writing functional specifications and collaborating with technical teams (e.g., ABAP/Integration) for extensions and interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Systems: Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM and SAP Ariba.

  • Modern SAP Technologies: Hands-on familiarity with modern SAP tools, including Fiori apps, CDS views, BTP extensions, and workflows.

  • Methodology & Leadership: Project leadership experience in global, cross-functional environments utilizing Agile or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing sectors is a strong plus.
