Tax Manager (Hybrid)

Full time, Mumbai, India

 

This role is focused on Global tax reporting and compliance for indirect taxation. The role will require you to set up, manage and control indirect tax compliance for India next to multiple BCD Travel companies globally. In this role you will report to the Tax Director APAC with a dotted line into the Global SVP Tax & Treasury. 

 

As a Tax Manager, you will

• Be an active part of our tax department and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for internal and external clients
• Primarily focus on indirect taxation for other BCD entities in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong etc) and Europe (Netherlands, Poland, Germany, UK, etc), as per the dynamic requirements
• Set up the indirect tax centralization project in Mumbai
• Assist with integrating SAP ERP and Avalara VAT reporting software 
• Provide Standard Operating Procedures in order to make the indirect tax centralization project a success
• Optimize and control the indirect tax position and identify tax opportunities and efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with taxation regulations, monthly returns, payment of taxes, claim of input tax credit
• Work in close cooperation with other relevant stakeholders around the world with BCD Travel

 

About you

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with several years of post-qualification experience
• Proven expertise in indirect taxation
• Experience with Avalara Tax software is a must
• Experience on setup of any tax technology is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP ERP
• Hands-on experience with tax litigation within multinational corporations (MNCs) / Big4s
• Basic understanding of corporate income-tax law is preferred
• Hands-on mentality, flexible to changes within an international environment
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex issues
• Experience in the travel industry or service industry is a plus
