1. Electrical Commissioning & Execution

• Plan and execute electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for:
  • 11kV / 33kV HT & LT systems
  • Substations, transformers, switchgear (HT/LT panels, MCCs)
  • Power distribution systems, bus ducts, cable trays & cabling
  • UPS, DG sets, solar auxiliary power systems
• Carry out testing, energization, and synchronization of electrical systems in coordination with OEMs and EPC contractors.
• Ensure commissioning of process equipment electrical systems for:
  • Solar cell lines (diffusion, PECVD, screen printing, firing, testing)
  • Module assembly lines (stringer, laminator, framing, testing)

2. Utility & Infrastructure Systems

• Commission and hand over electrical systems for utilities including:
  • Clean room power systems
  • Chillers, HVAC, compressors, vacuum systems
  • Process exhaust, scrubbers, and gas safety electrical interfaces
• Validate load calculations, demand planning, and redundancy philosophy during commissioning.

3. Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure commissioning activities comply with:
  • Electrical Safety Rules, CEA regulations, IE Rules
  • Factory Inspectorate & DISCOM requirements for power charging
• Conduct risk assessments, JSA, permit-to-work, and LOTO during commissioning.
• Ensure documentation and sign-offs for statutory inspections and approvals prior to energization.

4. Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with:
  • EPC contractors
  • OEMs (process equipment, switchgear, transformers, DGs, UPS)
  • Operations, EHS, Maintenance & Quality teams
• Review vendor drawings, commissioning procedures, test reports, and punch lists.
• Close punch points and ensure smooth handover to Operations & Maintenance.

5. Documentation & Handover

• Prepare and validate:
  • Electrical commissioning checklists & SOPs
  • FAT/SAT reports
  • Single line diagrams (SLD) – as-built
  • O&M manuals and training documents
• Support training of O&M teams prior to final project handover.

B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering 

• 6–8 years of experience in electrical commissioning for:
  • Solar PV manufacturing / semiconductor / large industrial plants
  • EPC or owner’s project execution roles
• Hands-on exposure to utility-scale manufacturing facilities is strongly preferred.
