Job Description
The Safety Officer / Supervisor shall be responsible for implementing and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards at site to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualification: Civil & Structural Engineer / Mechanical Engineer with minimum 10-15 years exprience
Type of Job: 6 month contract (Extension possible on good performance)
Detailed Job Description:
- Develop and implement site-specific HSE plan in line with statutory requirements
- Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety procedures
- Organize toolbox talks, safety trainings, and awareness programs for workers
- Ensure use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at site
- Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures
- Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
- Maintain HSE registers including incident logs, safety checklists, and audit reports
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and environmental norms
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, and confined space entry
- Coordinate with Project Manager and site team to enforce safety culture
- Issue safety violations and recommend disciplinary actions if required
- Exercise authority to stop unsafe work practices immediately
