About the Role

Urban Hive Pro PG is seeking a detail-oriented, responsible Accountant to manage the company's daily financial operations, maintain accurate records, and prepare financial reports for multiple PG properties.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting

- Record all income and expenses accurately.

- Manage daily cash flow and bank transactions.

- Prepare and issue payment receipts to customers.

- Maintain proper vouchers and supporting documents.

Payments & Collections

- Track rent collections from PG residents.

- Follow up on pending payments.

- Record vendor and supplier payments.

- Maintain payment schedules and due dates.

Expense Management

- Record maintenance expenses for each PG.

- Maintain bills and invoices for electricity, water, repairs, salaries, housekeeping, and other operational expenses.

- Verify all bills before processing payments.

Financial Reporting

- Prepare separate Profit & Loss statements for each PG property.

- Maintain property-wise Excel reports.

- Generate monthly income and expense statements.

- Prepare financial summaries for management review.

Documentation & Record Keeping

- Maintain organized digital and physical records.

- Ensure every transaction has proper supporting documents.

- Keep financial files updated and audit-ready.

MIS & Excel Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.

- Maintain accurate Excel sheets with formulas.

- Update financial dashboards and reports regularly.

Bank & Reconciliation

- Perform bank reconciliation regularly.

- Match bank transactions with company records.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Compliance

- Maintain accurate accounting records.

- Support GST, TDS, and other statutory documentation (if required).

- Coordinate with the company's CA whenever needed.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Basic knowledge of Tally Prime.

- Good understanding of accounting principles.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Good communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.

- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.

- Experience in hospitality, PG, hostel, or real estate accounting will be an added advantage.
