Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Assist in the mise en place (prep work), including washing, peeling, cutting, and seasoning ingredients for various global cuisines.
- Menu Execution: Follow standardized recipes to help senior chefs cook and plate diverse international dishes consistently.
- Station Organization: Keep your assigned kitchen workstation organized, properly stocked, and ready for service.
- Quality & Inventory: Help senior chefs inspect food deliveries, rotate stock, and minimize food waste.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety regulations (HACCP) in the kitchen.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with foundational global cooking techniques and diverse culinary traditions.
- Attitude: A high willingness to learn, strong teamwork skills, and the stamina to work split shifts.
- Certification: Culinary diploma, certificate, or food handler’s license is preferred.
