Field Service Engineer

Job Title: UPS Field Service EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled UPS Field Service Engineer responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of UPS systems and related power equipment at customer sites.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, and test UPS systems (online UPS, offline UPS, and modular UPS).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of UPS systems and battery banks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in UPS, batteries, and associated electrical systems.
• Attend breakdown calls and ensure quick resolution within SLA.
• Conduct load testing, battery health checks, and capacity testing.
• Handle replacement of batteries, capacitors, fans, and other UPS components.
• Maintain service reports, checklists, and documentation after each visit.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers for service schedules.
• Ensure all safety procedures and electrical standards are followed.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of UPS systems (APC, Vertiv, Eaton, etc.)
• Understanding of electrical circuits, single-phase and three-phase systems
• Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
• Knowledge of battery technologies (SMF, tubular, lithium-ion)
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and manuals
• Good communication and customer handling skills
• QualificationsDiploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in UPS or power backup systems
• Preferred ExperienceExperience with high-capacity UPS systems (10KVA to 200KVA and above)
• Knowledge of AMCs and site service operations
• Experience working in data centers, commercial buildings, or industrial sites
• Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel for field service
• Ability to work in flexible shifts and emergency situations
• Valid driving license (preferred)
