Job Description

Well Experienced in Hotel Industry with a background of multi cuisine veg restaurant, minimum experience of 10 years, with holding a position of sous chef.

🔪 1. Kitchen Leadership & Staff Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff (sous chefs, line cooks, prep staff)
  • Schedule shifts and assign duties
  • Maintain discipline, motivation, and teamwork in the kitchen
  • Recruit and onboard new kitchen employees


🍽️ 2. Menu Planning & Development

  • Design and update menus based on seasonality, trends, and customer preferences
  • Create new recipes and improve existing dishes
  • Ensure menu variety, balance, and profitability
  • Consider dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, etc.)


🧾 3. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Manage food costs and control waste
  • Plan portion sizes and pricing strategies
  • Monitor kitchen expenses to stay within budget
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate prices


🥦 4. Inventory & Supply Management

  • Order ingredients and kitchen supplies
  • Maintain inventory levels and minimize spoilage
  • Ensure quality and freshness of all ingredients
  • Build relationships with vendors


🧼 5. Hygiene & Food Safety Compliance

  • Enforce cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP)
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections
  • Train staff on hygiene practices

  • Oversee food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and plating
  • Step in during busy service periods
  • Handle special or VIP orders when required

  • Plan kitchen workflow for efficiency
  • Manage peak service times and avoid delays
