Job Description

Key Responsibilities


1. Distribution & Operations

  • Manage day-to-day distribution operations ensuring timely delivery to retailers and customers
  • Plan and monitor dispatch schedules, routes, and vehicle utilization
  • Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams for smooth operations

2. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor inward and outward stock movement
  • Ensure FIFO practices and minimize stock losses, damages, and expiries
  • Maintain accurate stock records in system and physical stock matching

3. Billing & Documentation

  • Oversee billing, invoicing, and credit note processes
  • Ensure proper documentation for dispatch, returns, and shortages
  • Coordinate with accounts team for reconciliation

4. System & Software Handling

  • Operate and manage company ERP / distribution software
  • Ensure accurate data entry for sales, stock, returns, and collections
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports

5. Computer & Excel Work

  • Prepare operational reports using MS Excel (sales, stock, aging, expenses)
  • Use formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis for decision-making
  • Maintain digital records and reports

6. Team Management

  • Supervise warehouse staff, delivery personnel, and office executives
  • Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to company policies
  • Train staff on SOPs, software usage, and operational processes

7. Compliance & Process Control

  • Ensure company policies and brand guidelines are followed
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and cold-chain standards (for ice cream/dairy)
  • Handle audits, inspections, and company visits
  • Required Skills & QualificationsGraduate preferred (Commerce / Management / Supply Chain)
  • Minimum 3–7 years experience in FMCG / Dairy / Ice Cream / Distribution operations
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience in handling company ERP / distribution software
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Preferred ExperienceExperience in Amul / Ice Cream / Dairy / FMCG distribution
  • Knowledge of cold-chain operations
  • Experience managing large retailer networks
