Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for the company’s wallpaper products. This role involves managing relationships across multiple customer segments, including dealers (shopkeepers), architects, interior designers, industrial clients, and retail customers. The candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, interior designers, and institutional clients
- Identify and onboard new dealers, retail partners, and project clients
- Conduct regular market visits to generate leads and close sales opportunities
- Promote product range by presenting samples, catalogs, and conducting client meetings
- Work closely with architects and interior designers to specify products in ongoing and upcoming projects
- Handle direct sales to retail and industrial customers as required
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to provide actionable insights
- Ensure timely collection of payments and manage outstanding receivables
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, operations, and marketing) for smooth order execution
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline updates
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in field sales, preferably in wallpapers, home décor, building materials, or related industries
- Strong network with dealers, architects, and interior designers is an advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet targets
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
- Basic knowledge of design trends and interior products is preferred
