Accountant

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

·       Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP systems.

·       Prepare and update cash books, bank books, and general ledger accounts.

·       Ensure proper maintenance of vendor and customer ledgers.

·       Record purchase, sales, expense, and journal entries with a high level of accuracy and compliance.

2. Banking & Reconciliation

·       Perform periodic bank reconciliations (BRS) and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

·       Reconcile vendor and customer statements on a regular basis.

·       Monitor fund flow and update bank transactions systematically.

3. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

·       Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9C, etc.) and TDS returns in compliance with statutory timelines.

·       Maintain accurate GST and TDS records, ensuring proper tracking of input and output taxes, including handling of notices and queries.

·       Support compliance activities related to TDS, PF, and ESI, as applicable.

4. Reporting & Documentation

·       Prepare MIS reports, including:

o  Monthly expense summaries

o  Accounts receivable and payable reports

o  Vendor ageing analysis

·       Maintain systematic documentation of invoices, vouchers, and statutory records.

·       Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate data and required documentation.
