Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for owning market development at a regional level, driving revenue growth through strong architect/designer networks, and ensuring high pipeline conversion.
This role requires a balance of individual contribution and strategic ownership, with a clear mandate to build, mentor, and scale a high-performing BD team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Market Development
· Define and execute territory strategy for architect and designer engagement
· Identify high-value firms, key influencers, and large-scale project opportunities
· Build a strong presence for Pllum Legno within the premium design ecosystem
2. Relationship Leadership
· Develop and manage relationships with top-tier architects and design firms
· Establish long-term partnerships with key decision-makers
· Act as the primary escalation and relationship anchor for critical accounts
3. Pipeline Ownership
· Build, track, and drive a high-quality project pipeline across the region
· Ensure strong visibility into project stages and conversion probability
· Intervene strategically to accelerate high-value opportunities
4. Specification to Revenue Conversion
· Drive closure of large and strategic deals
· Work closely with internal teams on pricing strategy, product positioning, and execution
· Ensure seamless conversion from specification to billing
5. Team Building & Leadership
· Hire, train, and mentor Business Development Managers/Executives
· Set clear targets, review performance, and drive accountability
· Build a scalable BD structure aligned with company growth
6. Performance Management & Reporting
· Monitor territory performance, pipeline health, and revenue achievement
· Provide structured updates to leadership with actionable insights
· Ensure discipline in reporting and CRM usage across the team
7. Brand & Industry Presence
· Represent Pllum Legno at key industry events such as India Design and Acetech
· Strengthen brand positioning among premium design communities
Candidate Profile:
· 8–11 years of experience in business development within luxury interiors or premium building materials
· Strong experience in architect/designer-led sales and specification selling
· Established network with leading architects and interior designers in Delhi NCR
· Proven track record of handling large accounts and closing high-value deals
· Prior experience in team handling or mentoring is preferred
· Exposure to luxury brands across surfaces, wood, stone, lighting, bath, or furniture
· Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
· Highly self-driven with leadership presence and decision-making capability
· Must own a vehicle and be comfortable with extensive field engagement
Compensation & Growth:
· Fixed CTC: ₹12– 18 LPA (depending on profile)
· Leadership growth path to Regional Head / Business Head roles
· Direct working relationship with Founder & CEO
Non-Negotiable:
Candidates must own a four-wheeler. Profiles without this will not be considered, as the role involves extensive daily field travel.
