Job Description
The CCTV Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and related security equipment. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and comply with security standards and regulations.
- Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and test CCTV systems, cameras, and related security devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of CCTV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair faults in CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, wiring, and recording equipment.
- Install and terminate cabling (coaxial, CAT5/CAT6, fiber optic) and ensure proper connectivity.
- Configure DVRs/NVRs, IP cameras, and network-based video management systems (VMS).
- Integrate CCTV systems with access control and alarm systems when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and repairs.
- Provide technical support and training to clients or internal staff on system operations.
