Job Description
Core Roles & Responsibilities
- Inspections & Diagnostics: Perform thorough mechanical, structural, and electrical checks. Use specialized equipment like video cameras to identify blockages, soot buildup, cracks, or poor suction.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Remove dangerous creosote, soot, and oil buildup using specialized brushes and vacuums. Dismantle and chemically degrease inner fan blowers, baffle filters, and mesh filters.
- Repairs & Overhauls: Replace or repair faulty Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), touch panels, motion sensors, and LED lighting fixtures. Overhaul motor blowers, bearings, and auto-clean heating elements.
- Installation & Ducting: Assemble and mount structural brackets, align the unit correctly above cooktops, and route or seal exhaust duct pipes and exterior cowls to prevent smoke backflow and pest entry.
- Safety & Compliance: Test electrical earthing, verify fire safety and ventilation efficiency, and offer maintenance advice to clients.
