Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Borrower Contact: Initiating calls or visiting borrowers to discuss overdue payments.
- Negotiation: Negotiating repayment plans and settlements to recover debts efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhering strictly to ethical guidelines and legal requirements regarding debt collection.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed, accurate records of all communication and payment, as noted in the Debt Recovery Agent Job Description on Expertia AI.
- Reporting: Preparing weekly/monthly reports on collection progress and NPL (Non-Performing Loan) status for management.
- Legal Action: Assisting legal teams in initiating legal or repossession proceedings as a last resort.
- Negotiation/Communication: Exceptional verbal communication and persuasion skills.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with the FDCPA or local banking regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience in debt collection, tele-calling, or field sales is highly preferred.
- Education: Typically a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree in finance or related fields preferred.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, patience, and ability to handle high-stress situations professionally
