Ladies Tailor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Ladies Tailor who can stitch and alter women’s garments as per design specifications while maintaining high standards of fitting, finishing, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stitch ladies’ garments such as suits, kurtis, dresses, blouses, gowns, tops, and other apparel.
• Take accurate body measurements and understand customer fitting requirements.
• Perform alterations, adjustments, and repairs to ensure proper fitting.
• Cut fabric according to patterns, measurements, and designs.
• Operate sewing machines and use tailoring tools efficiently.
• Attach accessories such as buttons, hooks, zippers, laces, and embellishments.
• Ensure neat finishing by trimming loose threads, ironing, and preparing garments for delivery.
• Check garments for quality, stitching accuracy, and finishing before handover.
• Manage fabrics and materials carefully to avoid wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the tailoring workstation.
• Complete assigned stitching work within the given deadlines.
• Coordinate with the production team and follow design instructions.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ladies’ garment stitching and fitting.
• Ability to handle different types of fabrics.
• Knowledge of cutting, pattern understanding, and garment construction.
• Experience with sewing machines and tailoring equipment.
• Attention to detail and good finishing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Ladies Tailor (preferred). Freshers with good stitching skills may also apply.
