GARMENTS FINISHING INCHARGE

The Finishing Incharge is responsible for managing all finishing activities in the garment manufacturing process, ensuring garments are properly checked, cleaned, packed, and dispatched as per quality standards and shipment timelines. The role includes supervision of manpower, workflow management, quality control coordination, and maintaining productivity in the finishing department.

• Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & OperationsPlan and manage daily finishing department activities.
• Ensure smooth flow of garments through:
• Receiving
• Tagging
• Thread Cutting
• Final Checking
• Packing
• Monitor production targets and achieve daily finishing output.
• Coordinate with production, QC, washing, and packing teams for smooth operations.
• Ensure timely completion of orders as per dispatch schedule.
• Quality ControlEnsure garments meet buyer quality standards before packing.
• Monitor defects and coordinate rectification work.
• Segregate garments for:
• Alteration
• Washing
• Touching
• Mending
• Rejection
• Reduce finishing defects and improve first-pass quality.
• Team ManagementSupervise finishing operators, checkers, helpers, and packers.
• Allocate work according to production priorities.
• Train workers on finishing standards and SOPs.
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity of the team.
• Inventory & Material HandlingMonitor trims, tags, polybags, cartons, and packing materials.
• Prevent garment mix-ups and shade variation issues.
• Ensure proper size-wise and style-wise segregation.
• Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily finishing production reports.
• Update rejection, alteration, and rework records.
• Coordinate shipment status with management.
• Maintain department SOP compliance.
• Workplace ManagementEnsure cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the finishing area.
• Follow safety procedures and factory compliance standards.
• Maintain proper garment handling to avoid damages.
