Manager- Quality & Technical - Merchandise

A purpose driven role for you

The incumbent will be responsible for defining comprehensive quality manuals, managing the fits, sizing and bringing material innovation to the sourcing team

A Day in the life

Build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Develop, document, and continuously update the brand's Quality Manual, outlining acceptable quality limits (AQL), testing protocols, and packaging standards for all merchandise categories.
Factory Audits & QA Agency governance
Engage with the QA agency and approve all testing results
Evaluate and approve fabrics, trims, and hard-line materials for performance, colour-fastness, shrinkage, and durability. Ensure all materials comply with safety and chemical regulations
Build size gradation principles and ensure correct execution of fits across product types
Engage with production factories to bring in material innovation that offer a competitive edge to the product range and also comply with the brand Quality standards
Defect Resolution & Root Cause Analysis

Academic Qualification & Experience

B. Tech. - Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Quality Management
8-10 years of experience in fashion quality assurance and technical design, with significant time spent conducting factory audits and managing vendor relationships

Technical Skills/Knowledge

Expertise in garment construction, pattern making, size grading, and material testing protocols
Thorough knowledge of global AQL standards and regulatory compliance
Exceptional analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills

Behavioural Skills

Strong stakeholder management
Excellent verbal and visual communication skills,
