Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating mild steel (MS), galvanized (GI), and structural steel components used in the production of Servo Voltage Stabilizers, Transformers, Electrical Control Panels, and related equipment. The ideal candidate should be capable of reading fabrication drawings, ensuring high-quality welds, and maintaining safety and productivity standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG (GMAW) welding on MS, GI, and fabricated steel structures.
• Weld transformer tanks, stabilizer cabinets, control panel enclosures, base frames, channels, and brackets.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and aligning components before welding.
• Ensure proper weld penetration, strength, and finish according to quality standards.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, gas cutting equipment, drilling machines, and fabrication tools.
• Repair welding defects and carry out rework when required.
• Perform visual inspection of welded joints.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and proper alignment of fabricated assemblies.
• Follow welding procedures and production schedules.
• Ensure proper maintenance of welding equipment and consumables.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, powder coating, and quality teams.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of MIG (CO₂) welding processes.
• Ability to weld sheet metal ranging from 1 mm to 10 mm thickness.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with transformer tank and electrical enclosure fabrication is preferred.
• Good understanding of welding distortion control.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measure, Vernier caliper, and angle gauge.
• Basic knowledge of grinding, cutting, drilling, and fitting operations.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• QualificationsITI (Welder/Fitter) or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• Certification in MIG Welding is an added advantage.
• Experience2–5 years of experience in MIG welding.
• Experience in Transformer, Servo Voltage Stabilizer, Electrical Panel, Sheet Metal, or Heavy Fabrication Industry preferred.
