Job Description
A Retail Sales Associate assists customers on the sales floor, drives store revenue through product recommendations, and handles daily operations. Their primary duties include processing payments, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide expert recommendations to ensure an exceptional shopping experience.
- Sales & Promotion: Drive sales by upselling, cross-selling, and informing shoppers about current promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs.
- Cashier Operations: Accurately process cash and card transactions, issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges using the point-of-sale (POS) system. [1, 2]
- Store Maintenance: Keep the sales floor tidy, organized, and compliant with visual merchandising standards. [1, 2]
- Inventory Management: Restock shelves, unpack incoming deliveries, and assist with stock counts and identifying low-stock items. [1, 2]
