Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and high-energy Solar Sales Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the face of our company, educating homeowners and businesses on the benefits of switching to renewable energy. Your primary goal is to manage the full sales cycle—from initial lead generation and site assessment to closing the deal and ensuring a smooth handoff to the installation team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively identify and reach out to potential customers through door-to-door canvassing, networking, referrals, and following up on company-provided leads.
  • Consultative Sales: Conduct in-home or virtual presentations to educate potential clients on solar technology, energy efficiency, and available financial incentives (tax credits, rebates, etc.).
  • Site Evaluation: Perform basic site assessments to determine roof suitability, shading issues, and energy needs (often using satellite imaging software like Helioscope or Aurora).
  • Custom Proposals: Prepare and present customized solar proposals, including ROI (Return on Investment) calculations and financing options.
  • Contract Negotiation: Guide customers through the contract signing process, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and financing is secured.
  • CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and sales progress in our CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Project Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the customer until the installation is complete, providing updates and managing expectations.
