Senior Accountant – ManufacturingPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and compliance activities for our manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles, cost accounting, inventory management, and financial controls, while supporting management with accurate and timely financial information.

• Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Cost & Inventory AccountingMaintain standard costing and monitor product costing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor costs, overhead allocations, and production variances.
• Reconcile inventory balances and support physical inventory counts.
• Review inventory valuation, slow-moving inventory, and inventory reserves.
• Monitor bill of materials (BOM) and production-related accounting transactions.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable OversightReview vendor payments and customer receivables.
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and collections.
• Monitor aging reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Compliance & Audit SupportAssist with statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support tax filings, GST/VAT reporting, and other statutory requirements.
• Budgeting & AnalysisAssist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Perform financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Support management with profitability and cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPI reports.
• Internal ControlsStrengthen financial controls across manufacturing and inventory processes.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
• QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred ExperienceManufacturing, industrial, automotive, consumer products, or process manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience managing inventory costing methodologies (Standard Cost, FIFO, Weighted Average).
• Experience supporting external audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
