SEO & GMB (Local SEO) Executive – Job Description

Job Summary: The SEO & GMB Executive is responsible for managing overall search engine optimization and local SEO strategies to improve organic visibility, search rankings, and lead generation. This role covers website SEO, technical optimization, content support, link building, as well as complete management and optimization of Google Business Profiles (GMB/GBP) for local search growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website SEO (On-Page & Off-Page)

·        Conduct keyword research to identify SEO and content opportunities.

·        Optimize on-page elements including meta tags, headers, URL structure, content, and schema markup.

·        Improve internal linking, site structure, and overall user experience.

·        Execute off-page SEO activities such as link building, outreach, guest posting, and citations.

·        Perform regular SEO audits and fix technical issues (indexing, crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, etc.).

·        Monitor search performance, keyword rankings, traffic trends, and SEO KPIs.

2. GMB / Local SEO Management

·        Create, verify, optimize, and manage Google Business Profiles (GMB/GBP).

·        Keep business information updated: hours, services, photos, posts, offers, etc.

·        Manage and respond to customer reviews in a timely and professional manner.

·        Improve local search rankings for Maps and Local Pack results.

·        Conduct local keyword research and competitor analysis.

·        Maintain NAP consistency across all local citations and directories.

·        Track GBP insights: views, searches, calls, messages, and engagement.

Required Skills

·        Strong knowledge of SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).

·        Hands-on experience in GMB/GBP optimization.

·        Understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.

·        Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.

·        Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
