Transformation Delivery Lead - Mainframe to AWS Cloud Migration

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝

Job Description:

Minimum 14+ Yrs of Hands-on experience and 5+ Yrs of working as Technical lead / Solutions Architect for migration of Legacy Mainframe based applications to AWS Cloud.

• Lead architecture and solution design for large-scale mainframe modernization initiatives on AWS.
• Lead solutioning, PoCs, and end-to-end implementation of modernization programs.
• Define target-state architectures for migrating legacy systems (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM).
• Develop reference architectures, design blueprints, and hybrid modernization strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor, re-architect).
• Define CICS web services / API-led and microservices-based architectures for decoupling legacy systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise in mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM).
• Strong Hands-on experience with Micro Focus (Rocket Software) Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Analyzer.
• Deep knowledge and hands on experience on data migration from Mainframe to AWS, including DB2 or VSAM file conversion
• Good Experience Leading and manage cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions for large Insurance (Life & Annuity) clients, ensuring quality delivery, financial discipline, and customer satisfaction.
• Establish cost models, performance benchmarks, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee end‑to‑end Project execution, including estimations, resource planning, agile delivery, and modernization initiatives such as cloud migration and legacy conversion.
• Act as a key client-facing leader and people manager, driving collaboration, mentoring teams, supporting business development, and demonstrating a high‑performance culture.
• Experience on Insurance domain and Insurance products (Preferably DXC IP products) would be an advantage.
• Knowledge on Enabling DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for modernized applications
• Good understanding in establishing integration between surrounding applications and the target cloud architecture/environment
• Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, GitHub for version control, and scheduler setup for batch execution.
• Awareness and experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Good communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel, and management
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to build internal capabilities.
