Job Title: Home Health Caretaker

Job Summary:

A Home Health Caretaker provides personalized care and support to individuals who are elderly, disabled, recovering from illness, or otherwise in need of assistance at home. The role focuses on improving the client’s quality of life by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while helping them maintain independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help with mobility, including walking assistance and transferring from bed to chair
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding if required
• Administer medications as prescribed or remind clients to take their medication
• Monitor and record vital signs (such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse) when required
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or assist with errands
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to family or healthcare professionals
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of home healthcare practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting and mobility
• Basic first aid knowledge (preferred)
• Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is an advantage
