Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves developing and configuring software systems tailored to meet specific project requirements or managing the entire product lifecycle. The role requires applying a broad understanding of various technologies, applications, methodologies, and processes to effectively support clients, projects, or organizational entities. Collaboration with different stakeholders and adapting to evolving project needs are integral parts of the daily routine, ensuring that software solutions are aligned with business objectives and technical standards.
SAP – Monitoring & Tool - Solman expert - (L8 or L9)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Design and Implementation:
- Assist in the design and implementation of SAP Solution Manager solutions, including configuring and customizing modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and Business Process Operations.
- Collaborate with senior architects to develop and document solution architectures, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT strategy.
2. System Integration:
- Support integration of SAP SolMan with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Ensure data consistency and integration across different platforms and solutions.
3. Configuration and Customization:
- Perform system configurations, create custom reports, and develop enhancements as required.
- Work with the development team to implement custom developments and interfaces.
4. Support and Maintenance:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for SAP SolMan issues, troubleshooting and resolving system-related problems.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance activities to ensure system stability and performance.
5. Documentation and Training:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and IT staff on SAP SolMan functionalities and best practices.
6. Project Management:
- Assist in project planning, execution, and management of SAP SolMan-related projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the SAP SolMan environment.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP SolMan features and functionalities and recommend adoption of new technologies were beneficial.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in SAP Solution Manager implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of IT service management and application lifecycle management processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing SAP SolMan modules (e.g., ITSM, CHARM, ALM).
- Experience with SAP SolMan integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA) and non-SAP systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP SolMan certification.
- Experience in project management or ITIL certification.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform/BTP.

- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and guiding their professional development.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment of project goals and timely delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Monitoring & Tools.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with SAP Basis Administration.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to configure and optimize SAP monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and availability.
- Experience in integrating monitoring solutions with existing IT infrastructure and workflows.
- Capability to generate detailed reports and dashboards to provide insights into system health and performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Monitoring & Tools.
- This position is based at our Noida office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
