Job Description
Job Summary:
The Captain in the gaming and entertainment industry is responsible for leading and supervising the front-of-house service team to ensure the highest quality of service for guests. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating with kitchen staff and management, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
o Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff including waiters, bartenders, and hosts.
o Assign duties and responsibilities to the service team to ensure efficient operation.
o Conduct regular briefings to update staff on any changes, promotions, or special events.
2. Customer Service:
o Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
o Address any guest complaints or concerns immediately and effectively.
o Monitor dining areas to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and service quality.
3. Operational Management:
o Oversee the setup and breakdown of service areas.
o Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
o Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
4. Quality Control:
o Monitor the presentation and quality of food and beverages served to guests.
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Implement and maintain service standards as per the company's guidelines.
5. Coordination and Communication:
o Liaise with management to discuss and resolve service-related issues.
o Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
o Assist in planning and executing special events and promotions.
6. Inventory and Supplies:
o Monitor inventory levels of service-related supplies and place orders as necessary.
o Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and report any repairs or replacements needed.
o Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
· Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or entertainment industry.
Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
o Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
o Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
