Manager, Development Operations Engineering

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.
• Lead and support applications in a Linux-based hybrid cloud environment, managing VMs, storage, backups, recovery, monitoring, and deployments.
• Strong focus on automation, driving new implementations and improving operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot performance, networking, and application issues, provide Level‑2 support, and lead root cause analysis for incidents and escalations.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and support teams, with experience managing large-scale environments and scripting/software development preferred.

• Managed and lead a team, providing direction, oversight, and day‑to‑day operational support.
• Set, track, and deliver team goals and operational targets using clear metrics.
• Review team output, ensure quality delivery, and align execution with organizational objectives.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, feedback, and performance guidance to team members.
• Support staffing decisions, including hiring recommendations and capacity planning

What Would You Be Doing in This Role

• Lead and support multiple applications running in a Linux-based hybrid cloud environment.
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure including VM provisioning, storage, backups, recovery, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot performance, networking, and application issues, ensuring system stability and uptime.
• Provide Level‑2 support, handle escalations, and contribute to root cause analysis for incidents.
• Drive automation initiatives, including identifying new areas for automation and improving efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with development, support, and product teams on deployments, architecture, performance, and security.
