Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible, compassionate, and proactive male candidate to join our Old-Age Home team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between patient care and daily administrative operations, ensuring our residents receive timely medical attention while managing the facility's day-to-day needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Medical Escort: Accompanying elderly residents to hospitals for routine check-ups, diagnostic tests, or medical emergencies, and ensuring their safe return.
Doctor Consultations: Managing doctor appointments, communicating effectively with medical professionals during consultations, and understanding prescriptions/treatment plans.
Medicine Management: Procuring, organizing, and maintaining an uninterrupted supply of medicines and healthcare essentials for the residents.
Procurement & Errands: Sourcing and purchasing fresh vegetables, groceries, and other daily essentials from local markets.
Inventory & Stock Management: Maintaining an accurate log/register of kitchen supplies, groceries, and medical inventory to prevent shortages.
Basic Staff Supervision: Assisting in managing on-site support staff (helpers, cooks, cleaning staff) to ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Minimum 10+2 (High School) passed. A background in healthcare, pharmacy, or social work is a major plus.
License & Travel: Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and be comfortable riding a bike/scooter for daily tasks.
Skills:
High level of empathy, patience, and respect towards senior citizens.
Basic computer/smartphone literacy (for maintaining stock registers on Excel or apps).
Strong communication skills to interact with doctors, hospital staff, and vendors.
Experience: Prior experience in an old-age home, hospital, NGO, or hospitality setup is preferred, but motivated freshers are welcome to apply.
