A Psychology Lab Assistant supports the effective functioning of the school's psychology laboratory by maintaining lab resources, assisting teachers during practical sessions, ensuring a safe and organized environment, and helping students with psychological experiments and activities. The role involves administrative, technical, and logistical support to facilitate psychology education.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prepare the psychology laboratory before practical classes by arranging equipment, test materials, and experimental setups.

Assist psychology teachers during laboratory sessions, demonstrations, and practical activities.

Maintain and organize psychological testing materials, models, charts, questionnaires, and laboratory equipment.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and teaching aids.

Keep records of laboratory inventory, equipment maintenance, and consumable materials.

Assist in administering and scoring psychological tests under the supervision of the psychology teacher.

Support students in conducting experiments while ensuring ethical guidelines and laboratory rules are followed.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the psychology laboratory.

Report damaged or missing equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements.

Help prepare laboratory manuals, worksheets, practical records, and other instructional materials.

Assist with data entry, record keeping, and documentation related to laboratory activities.

Support school events, exhibitions, workshops, and psychology-related awareness programs as required.

Ensure confidentiality of student assessment materials and psychological records.

Perform any other laboratory or academic support duties assigned by the school administration or Head of Department.
